SEWER REPAIRER 2
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience in sewer installation or repair work and/or in varied plumbing work and/or in the operation and maintenance of sewer maintenance equipment.
LICENSE: Appointees will be required to possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and applicable endorsements for the class and type of vehicle being operated.
WATER REPAIRER 2
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of water mains, pipes, valves, hydrants, and other water service equipment and/or in the operation of water treatment plant apparatus and/or in varied plumbing work.
LICENSE: Appointees may be required to possess a valid Public Water Distribution License issued by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
The following depicts the various classes and required licenses:
W1 - 101 or more connections and less than 1501 people
W2 - 1501 to 15000 people
W3 - 15001 to 50000 people
W4 - 50001 or more people
NOTE: Appointees who possess a higher-level Water Distribution License than required by the facility are considered qualified.
Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.
The responsibility for ensuring that employees possess the required motor vehicle license, commensurate with the class and type of vehicles theyoperate, rests with the Appointing Authority.
