Governor Sarah Adelman Commissioner The New Jersey Department of Human Services invites you to apply for the following position: JOB POSTING NUMBER 314-23 ISSUE DATE 5/23/2023 CLOSING DATE 6/6/2023 TITLE Analyst Trainee LOCATION Division of Family Development Office of the Deputy Division Director EBT Unit 6 Quakerbridge Plaza Hamilton, NJ 08619 RANGE P95 SALARY $46,431.86 - $48,531.07 OPEN TO Public DEFINITION Under the direction of a supervisor in a State department or agency, as a trainee and productive worker, receives on the job training in analytic practices/procedures and application and research and preparation of reports, completes assignments which will provide practical analyst experience and/or learns to review and analyze financial reports; does other related work. This position will be working with the Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) unit. The EBT system is used to distribute public assistance benefits including food and cash assistance to low income individuals and families. The incumbent in this position will work to monitor and report on system operations and benefit utilization to ensure the EBT system is compliant with federal standards. REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE NOTE Appointees who successfully complete the 12-month training period will be eligible for advancement to the Administrative Analyst 1 Information Systems title under Civil Service Commission procedures. NOTE FOR FOREIGN DEGREES Degrees and/or transcripts issued by a college or university outside of the United States must be evaluated by a reputable evaluation service at your expense. LICENSE Appointees will be required to possess a driver?s license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
