VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT The Department of Health has a career opportunity for qualified candidates for the following position: Title Clinical Psychiatrist-Board Eligible [] Salary P99 TBD Posting Number 115-23 Position Number 090966 Number of Positions 1 Posting Period * From: 02/03/2023 To: 02/24/2023 Location: Trenton Psychiatric Hospital Scope of Eligibility/Open to: GENERAL DESCRIPTION Under the close supervision of a Medical Director or Managing Physician/Psychiatrist at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital, functions as a specialist/consultant in the field of psychiatry; performs clinical responsibilities in accord with the standard of care and unified service systems; performs psychiatric functions in accord with legal/judicial mandates and Patient?s Bill of Rights; performs technical applications to meet The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and other relevant accreditation bodies standards; does other related duties as required. At the discretion of the Division?s Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer the Clinical Psychiatrist must be willing to enter into a collaborative agreement/joint protocol with an Advance Practice Nurse who will provide services to the patient, as allowed by the NJ Division of Behavioral Health Services (?DBHS?), in conjunction with the attending psychiatrist. NOTE: This position is covered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Rule and Executive Order 283, requiring all employees to be fully vaccinated. To comply with that requirement, employees must provide proof of vaccination status. Please do not submit proof of vaccination at this time; instructions will be provided if an offer of employment results from this NOV. REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSES) SPECIALIZED TRAINING: One (1) year of broad-based clinical training in internal medicine, family practice, or pediatrics; or a transitional year program that shall have included a minimum of four (4) months of primary care; or a residency in a clinical specialty requiring comprehensive and continuous patient care all of which must be approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. AND Three (3) years of full-time post-graduate specialized residency training in a clinical psychiatry program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. OR Completion of a four (4) year psychiatry residency program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. NOTE: Board Eligible Clinical Psychiatrists must complete/pass the board certification within three (3) years after the completion of residency training, unless otherwise approved in writing by the Deputy/Assistant Commissioner of the Division in which they are employed. LICENSE: Possession of an Unrestricted License to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey. Possession of an unrestricted State of New Jersey Controlled Dangerous Substances License. Possession of an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Registration number. Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
